Twelve People Injured During Shooting at Columbiana Mall
By way of update, The State Newspaper and Fits News report that twelve people were injured during a shooting at the Columbiana Centre Mall off of Harbison Boulevard in Columbia, South Carolina. The shooting occurred Saturday afternoon April 16, 2022. Of the 12 injured, 10 were actually hit by gunfire. Two of the people shot are in critical condition.
Chief Skip Holbrook of the Columbia Police Department stated that the ages of the victims range from 73 to 15. The first shots were fired near the entrance of the Gap Store inside the mall. Holbrook believes this was not an isolated incident. At least three people were seen with guns. Three people have been detained.
