Perreault was known in the community for her caring heart. Scotty’s Beach Bar in Surfside Beach posted the following on social media about Perreault and the loss:
“Today with heavy hearts we mourn the loss of a dear friend and kind-hearted local, Tammy Perreault. Some things we will never begin to understand but what we do know is no one has a bad thing to say about this woman. To be as sweet as her day in and day out should be a goal for all.”
Steps to Take in Litigating a Beach Accident Case:
Preserve and collect relevant evidence as soon as possible. This includes, but is not limited to, video footage, photographs, the actual umbrella, signage, etc.
Retain an expert to inspect the scene of the accident.
Obtain a copy of the accident report and speak with the witnesses and responding officer.
Collect medical records and bills
Identify and research all relevant parties – the municipality, the owner of the beach umbrellas, and other government or private entities that had a role in the leasing, maintenance, and installation of the umbrellas.
