Nightmarish Images From I-95 Pileup

In July of 2025, multiple sources reported a major pileup on I-95 in South Carolina. Images from the scene show at least two semi-trucks with a literal wall of smashed cars between them. One of the victims freed himself from the wreckage of his vehicle – only to fall off the bridge and into the Combahee River. Fortunately, he was able to swim to safety and survived the ordeal.

The exact cause of the collision is still under investigation. Authorities say that a heavy thunderstorm probably contributed to the crash, as drivers were struggling with almost zero visibility at the time.
